Last night before bed, Sunshine comes running up to me with her bunny and yells, "Wook, Mommy! Bunbun have 'gina!" Here's what she was talking about.

I love that my 2 year already knows things that are recyclable. "We cycle dis, Mommy". She also can sort the recyclables into the correct bins :)
I must have been extra mad today because in the car Sunshine says, "Mommy mad. Mommy tuper mad."
Monster is writing his letter to Santa already. All he wants is two things. He doesn't "want too much so that Santa has time to make things for other people who maybe need them more." How did I get so lucky to get such a great kid?
Sunshine is taking after me. She was down the basement belting out tunes, dancing and organizing her cars. This skill will come in handy later in life :)
Monster: You sure are lucky, [Sunshine], to have a nice big brother like me.
Yesterday, I had erased the message I had on the board for Monster. Sunshine noticed this. "Why there no words, Mommy? Peese draw someting. It make [Monster] happy."
Me to Sunshine: You, my dear, are adorable.
Sunshine: I no deer. I girl! Last night at bedtime, Husband asked Sunshine who was small and precious. He expected her to either say herself or Ruby from the book we have, but she took her binky out and very matter of factly stated, "God".
I love listening to my kids talking in the car to each other. Once again, we were driving by the preschool Sunshine may attend. Monster pointed it out this time and said, "That's where you're going to go to school. Now, you have to do a lot of writing in school. It may be hard, but it's OK, you'll learn. I will help you." (side note...Monster is working on fine motor skills. He's come a long way in the past year, but still has a way to go, so writing is difficult for him). Sunshine then replies, "I already do that at home!" The conversation went on about the differences of doing things at home and school, but it was just funny how Monster was being so sweet and Sunshine just pipes in with her "know it all" attitude.
Another conversation that was had yesterday was between Sunshine, Husband and myself. Me: [Sunshine] time for a nap. Sunshine: Daddy say I no have to go night night in my bed. Me: I don't think Daddy said that. Sunshine: Yeah, Daddy say I no have to go night night in my bed. Me: OK. (I get the phone and call Husband) [Husband] [Sunshine] said you told her she didn't have to go night night in her bed. Can you please let her know she does? Sunshine to Husband: (before Husband could even say anything to her) I do go night night in my bed. I go night night in my bed Daddy. I do go night night in my bed. (in a super panicked tone) |
