Monster remembers everything. He remembered that we usually track Santa on the computer. So, of course, we had to track Santa again this year. We also watched the videos of places Santa had already been. On one of the videos, it said that Santa was running ahead of schedule. Monster immediately began to panic. "Mommy! I need to go to bed right now! I don't want to be up when Santa is here because he won't come!" He then ran to get in bed. It was 6pm. We hadn't even had dinner.

Everyone who knows me knows that I have a lot of moments when I can't remember, well, I can't remember even which end is up. Apparently, it's hereditary (yes, Mom, I take after you), but now Sunshine is doing it. Today, she walks over to the trash can, looks at it, then looks at me and says, "What I going to do? I forget". She had nothing to throw away, so I have clue what her plan was.
Yesterday, my mom came down and brought a Nativity set with her. While Sunshine was sleeping, Nana, Monster and I set the Nativity scene up. Later that evening, Sunshine discovered the scene and let out a gasp and said, "Wook, Mommy! Dere a baby!". I told her, "That's the baby Jesus". She then responds, "He precious. Dank you, Mommy!"
Today in the car, Monster and I were discussing propaganda. We were talking about how even though the ad says "10 must have toys" we really don't need anymore toys. Sunshine pipes in with "God say I don't need no more toys. God no make me any more." I think she's getting some stuff confused...
Then, to go along with that conversation...things get a little heated with the God and making toys debate between Monster and Sunshine. Sunshine responds to something Monster said saying, "I are!" Monster then replies, "[Sunshine], it is 'I am', not 'I are'. " Sunshine then comes back with, "I am. I am Sam. Sam I am." |
