About a week ago, I noticed one of the locking sides was cracking. I decided to go out on a limb and just email the company about it. If you recall, I bought the box from a local source and not directly from Go Green. When I got around to emailing, it was a Saturday. I didn't expect to hear anything until Monday. Sunday, I got an email back! Kim Castner is the inventor of the Go Green Lunch Boxes. She is the direct contact on their website. That's another thing I didn't expect. I expected that the contact was someone lower on the "chain of command". But I digress. Ms. Castner was so very nice and helpful. I explained the situation and she got right on sending me a replacement lid. Most amazing part of this is that she was helping me out while she was out town. Most companies, you not only get some employee, but if that employee is out of town, you get an out of office message and then no response until they are back in the office. She let me know she wasn't going to get back to the office until Wednesday and she'd send on out when she got back. She was true to her word. Wednesday, she sent me an email letting me know the lid was on it's way. Saturday, I received it. I could not be happier with the service that I received.
When I received the lid, I saw that they had made some good changes. My husband was seriously impressed with it. He's fascinated with how things are built so he notices the details of two different kids of plastics welded together for better flexibility. I kid you not, I spent about 20 minutes singing the praises of this company and product to him. I was apparently so passionate about it that he asked me if inventing stuff like this was something I was interested in doing. Inventing? Me? No way. However, I did tell him that I would love to educate the people in this area on these lunch boxes. I don't live in the most environmentally conscience of areas, but I think it's probably because there are no options here, at least none that people are made aware of. The only reason I know about these lunch boxes is because of watching Curiosity Quest Goes Green. Not a popular show in this area. In fact, no one I've ever talked to has even heard of the show let alone have kids interested in it. That's one of the reasons I'd love to spread the word. The people that I know would be interested in a product like this, I've already talked to, but I know there has to be people out there who are searching but don't know which direction to look. I'm hoping that by writing about these lunch boxes here, I'll reach more people. I'm hoping people will see the advantages of environmentally friendly lunch boxes. I'm hoping people will see the advantages of buying from a small business. After his excellent experience, I did more research on the company and am even more impressed and excited to share how wonderful the product and company are. I will most definitely be a returning customer!
