In music class, there is a song that goes, "It's so fun to wiggle your toes, it's so fun to wiggle your toes, it's so fun to wiggle your toes, wiggling wiggling all day long. Wiggle wiggle." Tonight while getting ready for bed, Sunshine changed "toes" to "butt". She sang it in perfect tone and pitch as well.
Sunshine (after coming out of the bathroom): I have a nakey butt. Wiggle wiggle! (while wiggling her butt)
Monster is doing the moon cycle in school. Each night he fills out a paper on what the moon looks like. Tonight is the new moon. I tell this to Monster and he looks at me and says, "Like the movie?" Obviously Mommy is too much of a Twilight fan.
Monster: Mommy, out of all the Mommies in the world, I chose you because I thought you looked like the best and the nicest. And I was right. You are the best and nicest.
I think Sunshine is having a difficult time distinguishing some sounds. Today there was a hawk flying and she got super excited and kept yelling, "Honk! Honk!"
As usual, I was singing and dancing in the kitchen when Monster looks at me and says, "Mommy, I love your singing, but your dancing, not so much." I can take a hint.
Tonight, Husband, Monster and Sunshine were reading the book Ruby in Her Own Time before bed. When it gets to the part where Mother duck explains she chose the name Ruby because she was small and precious, Sunshine takes her binky out, and says, "Like [Sunshine]." Both Husband and Monster look at her and ask her what she said. She replies, "Precious. Like [Sunshine]." She then sticks her binky back in and snuggles back into Husband.
Monster: Fun fact, Mommy. Only boys play football. No girls. It's not a law though. It's just all boys.
I was cleaning the tub this morning and Sunshine comes up and asks, "Why you cleaning tub, Mommy? Poopy in there?"
Monster is coloring and says to me, "Mommy, did you know I'm using primary colors? Red, Blue and Yellow." The other day we were outside and he said that autumn has warm colors, reds, oranges and yellows. How does he know this stuff?
